Highbrew Labs is a hotbed that showcases some of the cooler technologies that the crew at Highbrew are working on. This includes research prototypes, design ideas, software programs and the like. These are things that are not yet quite ready for
public consumption, but you are encouraged to play around with them and offer your inputs. Feature requests are especially welcome!
Please note that these are technologies that are still under development and therefore may have bugs and other issues that have not been ironed out. Therefore, your feedback would be immensely valuable. Please mail any questions, comments or concerns that you may have to labs@highbrew.com.

The Stock Market Info-viz tool helps analyze and visualize large amounts of stock data during any period of your choice, in relation to any other stock data. Presently, the data can only be visualized in the Historical Data Format. At the moment, the system can only be tested with locally available data and not a live data-stream. The visualization toolkit is being designed to augment one of our existing products, the Portfolio Optimizer. A preliminary demonstration of the info-viz system using this data can be seen here. DNAegis is a set of projects by Highbrew aimed at providing solutions in the domain of bioinformatics. At the moment, there are two DNAegis products in the pipeline. The first is DNAegis Processor, aimed at optimizing genetic sequence manipulation methodologies. The second is DNAegis GMVT, or Genetic-sequence Manipulation & Visualization Toolkit, to help visualize large amounts of genetic data.

Research » Glove based Molecular Modelling

The Glove Modelling project works on the design of a system that can control molecular visualization using a P5 virtual reality glove. The visualization software can manipulate large amounts of data with ease, however traversing such large amounts of data would take time and use of the keyboard and mouse combination is quite taxing. With the six degrees of freedom provided by the glove, the system helps the user manipulate and navigate very large and complex molecular structures with ease and simplicity.

Brainvita is a game which involves iterative reduction of marbles on a board, by "jumping" over a marble onto a free spot. The game begins with one free spot in the center of the board. Jumping over a marble removes the marble being jumped on and the goal is to reduce the board to containing just one marble. This is a version of Brainvita for mobile devices which are Java enabled and has been written using J2ME. You would need J2ME installed and enabled on your cellphone to be able to play the game.
